Signs indicating the connector might be the fault are:
►Intermittent charging. Dead battery, it wouldn't charge. Battery charge light wouldn't light on when power is connected.
►Won't charge unless the lead is held in one position. When the power lead is wiggled it makes or loses contact.
►The pin in the centre of the connector is loose, pushed in or missing. The whole connector is loose, pushed in or missing.
►Sparks come out the back of the laptop. Sometimes when power is connected smells of burnt out.
Why the above happen?
►Use of universal or non-original AC adapter ►Lots of plugging and unplugging of the AC adapter ►Tripping on or pulling the AC adapter cord.
